idea of Tapas is to try many different dishes during the course of a
meal. People (often in groups) will order a range of platters filled
with different foods to share between them. Restaurants and bars in
Cyprus, typically cater for those wishing to eat a full meal, &
therefore the plates will be larger & perhaps suitable for
sharing amongst a number of people. Cafes & bars are usually
catering for a snack/light lunch element & so plates are often
smaller & good for 1 or 2 people sharing.
Tapas
is more a way of eating than a type of food, but it certainly does
make for a different mealtime experience
